Reference Services
Reference services are offered at the reference counter in the Main Library. The main functions of reference librarians include:
- Guiding patrons to use the library catalog (OPAC)
- Training patrons to access article databases and other online materials
- Helping patrons to locate specific materials to meet their educational or personal need
- Tutoring patrons on citation style
- Helping patrons to evaluate source
- Providing brief, factual answers to questions, including matters related to library and directions
We try to accommodate walked-in patrons as much as we can. But due to the limited number of reference librarians available, we encourage patrons to make an appointment in order to use their time more effectively.
